If we’re going to ask every American to serve, every American should serve

John McCain is calling out Trump for draft dodging. But not every American was asked to serve -- women weren't drafted for instance.

And the Viet Nam conflict was a special case, in my opinion. Resistance to the war was rampant, the reasons behind and motivations for our involvement were murky at best, and the benefit to our country has yet to be proven. I think under those kinds of circumstances, resistance takes on a patriotic sheen, becomes a higher calling than answering a frankly unconstitutional draft for an unconstitutional conflict.

But I could be wrong.
