The most amazing thing to me is that there is a Japanese puzzle ring association.

Ah, from the video it appears this particular ring trick was well-known to the Japan Ring Puzzle Association.  The only person who hasn't been able to solve it in 10 years is Akihara-san.

But I'll admit it didn't look doable to me either. I STILL can't figure out how they made it work.
