I expect nothing more from Trump. He will nominate the equivalent of a James Watt to Interior and I expect to see a lot of faces that have been laughed off the national stage in the past 20 years. He believes in a lot of pseudo-science so his advisors will all be of the moron class.

Oil prices are so low right now, and for the foreseeable future, that several recycling installations around here have closed due to the fact that plastic bottles are now worthless in the recycling market.

Nevertheless, one of the cornerstones of Trump's energy plan is opening up federal lands (including national parks) to drilling, mining and fracking.

It's starting to look as though a Trump cabinet meeting will be very much like The Hatter's Tea Party, only not as rational. Tea Party: very fitting.

He will fire every one of them, as soon as they begin disagreeing with him.

In the end, he will find it difficult to find anyone willing to serve under him.

He's only appointing people who have already proven that they will never disagree with him. Can you say "sychophant"?

Just in case anybody has paid any attention (because I sure haven't): is there even one cabinet appointment that has any relevant experience for the job?

Gen. James Mattis for Secretary of Defense is at least defensible, on the basis of policy and temperment.

Unfortunately Trump didn't know there's an absolute prohibition against military men heading up the DoD, unless they've been inactive at least seven years.  Mattis retired three years ago.  In order to be confirmed Congress will have to pass a law changing the existing prohibition.

The already passed a budget bill which contained an amendment to provide a waiver for Mattis.
