As much as we might wish she would, politics is not a business that attracts "the best and the brightest" anymore. It's a cesspool of sleaze and skullduggery.

Michelle will be in the public eye, somehow. Just probably not elected office.

She has never struck me as the type of person for whom politics is the right path. She just seems to nice and too intelligent for American politics.

That's true. Still, it's good to have someone nice, intelligent, and honest in the White House. Doesn't happen very often.
