So I'm packing for Hawaii, deciding whether to bring my "computer glasses" (mid-range focus) in addition to my reading glasses (close-range focus). Thinking about this, I realize I won't be spending any time on computers in Hawaii, but I probably will be reading maps in the car.
This gives me an idea. The iPhone has a built-in light, and a camera. What if you could turn on the light & camera and hold the phone over a map, and have the image enlarged on the camera's screen?
Of course somebody's already thought of this. In fact several free magnifying glass apps are available in the App Store. One more use for the iPhone.
