The idea that narcotics traffic is simply capitalism at its most pure is not new, or even debatable. What I was HOPING Saviano might get into, in his book, is how "the war on drugs" was promoted by Organized Crime figures within the Nixon - Ford - Carter - Bush - Clinton - Bush - Obama administrations, as a way to cripple the competition.
