We've had a couple calls from a recording claiming to be the IRS. Very annoying. If they call again, I'm going to get as many details as I can and report them to the real IRS. I hate all these bastards - might as well get them chasing each other.

Those guys have been around for a while. Did they threaten you with imprisonment if you didn't send them money? That's one of their favorite ploys.

The initial recording just says the IRS is about to start a lawsuit against me and to call them back (at a different number). If I hear it one more time, I'm going to call the second number and see what information I can get. I've had to deal with the IRS before, and it doesn't start with an anonymous phone call. But I guess they scare enough poor saps to make it worthwhile.

I just got one of those IRS calls. The caller ID came across as area code 518 so I didn't answer it and let it roll to VM.

Pretty despicable.
