Bunch of previews playing on the DVD I'm about to watch, each of them says "Like us on Facebook."
Why?
Do Facebook "likes" mean something to anybody?

It seems like every damned web site you go to now there is a button for "liking" the site on facebook and other places. I have no fucking idea what it's for other than to annoy me.

I wonder if likes translate into money, in some undisclosed world I'm not aware of?
