| News says parts of CA got 3" to 11" of rain last night. Flooding, washouts, power outages.
How you doing there Howard (if you're online)? |

| We got about 2 inches of rain. Once again the major part of the storm stayed just a hair to the north of us. This has been happening regularly the last few years.
Winds over 50 mph with gusts up to 70. My property is fine, but there are a lot of trees down in the area and several thousand people without power.

| Depending on which report you look at, we've gotten between 4-1/2 and 6 inches of rain this month.
Big improvement over last December, when we got less than two-tenths. |

| We get that per hour.
The ground is so saturated that a big photinea, that shields us from our neighbor, just upped and fell over this weekend. I need to try to stand it up today, but it might be a goner. The root ball pulled up. Photineas are notoriously top heavy. |

| We're getting more rain than we usually get in winter. It's been more like fall around here. It's weird. Glad you all are ok though. Sorry about the Photineas NoCo. Maybe burlap bag the root ball until the ground dries enough to replant? |

| It was a goner. Broke off at ground level when I tried to stand it up.
Oh well. Everything has a life span, even plants. |

Oh well. Everything has a life span, even plants. Awww, well, yeah. C'est la vie, right? I'm sure it will be replaced with something you two love just as much. Is the Mrs a green thumb? (If you don't mind me asking.) |

Aww, oh well. I used to be a brown thumb but I learned. But it can be tedious. Your area up there is good for a lot of plants, I'm sure you'll find something you like. |
