Our future lies in one place and one place only -- in the well being of our children. Our sacred duty as adults is to protect their welfare. We have failed in that responsibility. Our politicians, in both parties, care, it seems, much more about the next election than the next generation.

The time has come to support policies, not people. We need solutions that are fair, bold, efficient, transparent, sustainable and generationally equitable. The Purple Plans reflect a non-partisan economist's solution to our problems. Each plan should appeal to both red Republicans and blue Democrats. Hence, the name "Purple Plans."

But, that's not to say they don't care dearly for themselves and their children.
As they've made themselves exempt from the 'policies for the populous', keeping and taking much more for themselves, maybe Larry could do something more than point to what's been painfully obvious for decades. Professor of economics, I'm underwhelmed by your insight.

I got as far as his plan for eliminating the personal and corporate income taxes and replacing them with a consumption tax. Purple? The man must be color blind.

I bailed when I hit this:

Wall Street would dearly love to gamble with your retirement funds, but it's not a good idea.

Then you wasted a few more minutes of your time than I did of mine.

Not when it comes to horn-loaded speakers, we don't.

The fuck you talkin' 'bout, Willis? My ears are gorgeous. I could be an ear model. (Do they have ear models?)
Now, if you're talking about functionality, that's a different story. And it's rude of you to mention it. Just wait, kid, your time is coming.

How about something we don't agree on: You have said that you believe inheritance tax should be 100 percent for everyone. I disagree. Convince me.

1) You can't take it with you
2) Everybody deserves a chance in this world
3)
Quote :
He [Larry Flynt] has severed ties with four of his five children. “He doesn’t understand people who don’t work,” Theresa says. “He offered all of his children the same thing: To go to college and get a degree and show an interest in a division of the company, and they could have a job. But none of them took him up, and he can’t identify with them, so doesn’t have a relationship with them.”

Flynt even cut off his brother Jimmy -- who for many years was a key aide -- after Jimmy sued him for $20 million in 2011, claiming he was the brains behind the stores, which Flynt plans to expand from 11 to 30 during the next couple of years. (Neither Jimmy nor Flynt’s other children could be reached for comment.)

“If I sent them a big, fat check every month, everything would be fine,” Flynt maintains. “That’s all they want, you know?”
4) Everybody should have to work to get ahead

If I can't leave it to the kids, I damn well will take it with me. In hundred-dollar bills stuffed into the cremation furnace with me.

Yes. And if the fruits of my labor enhances my kids' chances, all the better.

Apparently Larry Flynt's kids are asshats. Not a good argument. My kid went to college and graduated with honors. She works hard and is successful. The Flynt argument doesn't apply here.

Sometimes getting ahead means helping others, not just spending all your money on yourself.

All the advantages you want to give them while you're alive.

After you're dead, you don't care anymore.

I earned my money while I was alive. And I write my will while I'm alive. So there.

Did you inherit anything from your parents, or do you stand to? Has it / would it affect how hard you work to make a life for yourself ?

While this is merely anecdotal and has nothing to do with the correctness of your proposed tax policy, I will answer it.
1. No
2. I don't know.
