| Damn. The dinosaurs didn't get him, but Mother Nature kicked his ass. I always enjoyed his performances; he seemed to maintain a certain humanity and humility no matter what part he played. According to Wikipedia, he was a member of the House of Lords. That's a bit surprising, although his excellence shouldn't surprise me, as he was also born on August 29. |

Made a life peer in 1993, apparently. Probably a good choice. |
