I was all worried about the sequester myself -- until I heard it is only a 5% cut. Eight percent for Defense. That's hardly draconian. I'm starting to think the whole thing is a Kabuki drama. |

| The cuts phase in over ten years. More like a very gentle slope than a cliff. Like many other things in this idiotic government, it's mainly something to get air time and use for an election talking point.If anyone in DC was serious about the economy, they would quit yacking about this crap and do something to put people to work.

| I wouldn't say "nobody" wants to do it. The fucking deficit (which has been steadily declining for the past four years) is a wonderful campaign topic; little more.
