Theistic Hollywood

It appears this year is going to be the year religious themed entertainment is going to dominate.

Are republicans paying off executives in Hollywood? Must be an election coming.

How sad. Even without the religion, there has been a paucity of good films for years now. Maybe this is a desperation move on Hollywood's part. Possibly they think that Christians aren't capable of using NetFlix.

Hollywood, like any large business, has to play to their audience and like it or not the evangelical xtian right is resurgent. We could speculate all day long why this is -- Obama, global warming, years of leftist Hollywood films, FNC's explosive growth -- but the fact is these things are cyclical.

I suspect we'll be in for a long unpleasant slog through Jebusland until maybe 2020, after Pres. Palin has royally fucked us up.
