The atheist believes there is no god. The agnostic isn't sure.
So what do I call my position? I hold that whether a god or gods exist does not matter, because if they exist they are outside our existence, outside our understanding, and have no intersection with our world.
Whether they exist or not is literally of no consequence.
Incidentally, I feel exactly the same way about extraterrestrial life, for exactly the same reason.
