Quote :
the $110 trillion wealth of the 1% richest people on the planet is some 65 times the total wealth of those floundering at the "bottom half" of the world's population.

Further, this poorer "bottom half" now has about the same amount of money as the richest 85 people in the world.

Quote :
In 2009, the top 1 percent of U.S. households owned 35.6 percent of the nation’s private wealth. That’s more than the combined wealth of the bottom 90 percent.

Astonishing, yes. But surprising, no.
This is the way capitalism works. This is its intended end game.

Get off your asses and pick up your guns, folks. It's not going to get any better.

Howard seems to think shooting 85 people would solve the problem. Me, I have my doubts.

I don't know man. 85 people vs the good of the rest?

Frankly, you don't even have to kill them. You just have to stop for a minute and admit this shit is made up and no matter how fucked up we may have made this system, no one ever intended nor is it reasonable for one person, or 85, to control so much. Just take it away from them. Level the scales before that shit comes plummeting back violently.

We don't have to "do" anything.

The situation is unsustainable. If history teaches us anything it teaches that great economic disparity causes societal collapse. It has happened over and over.

Therefore we just have to wait.

85 people cannot sustain an economy.

Oh, come on. It was a metaphorical remark.

That's sort of what I was referring to. Wouldn't you rather take the wealth from 85 rather than have the entire thing collapse?!

Libertarians holler non aggression. It wasn't a policy of non aggression that got those fuckers all that money. Leave em with a few mill to live on and put the rest back in the pot where it belongs.

The pendulum's at the wrong end of its swing. The prevailing zeitgeist is still that ultra rich people are better than the rest of us and deserve not only what they have accumulated, but also deserve our respect if not worship.

Every signpost in the culture points to this.

It'll take at least a generation of more communistic propaganda to change society.
