| A five part 2022 series with gob-smackingly realistic-looking digital dinosaurs. Like all of the BBC series (I have several on DVD) every effort was made to be scientifically accurate, with contemporaneous dinosaurs appearing together (I think...) and lots of subtle details that enhance the realism. Biting insects are everywhere, annoying the dinos. Underwater dinos swim through murky waters. Live terrains are populated with digital dinosaurs... and they leave footprints. Everything about this series is incredibly well done. Except maybe my pet peeve. Dinos are mostly gray and scaly, rather than brightly colored for sexual signaling as I insist. Their calls are incoherent roars, rather than elaborate bird songs as I insist. Oh well. Second season begins streaming on the 22nd. |
