Amazon Prime Series: Outer Range

Josh Brolin plays a rancher who discovers a sinkhole on his property.  He throws a rock in it, and never hears it hit the bottom.  He throws a metal shovel in it and it never hits the bottom either.

"Huh," he says, and rides back home.

His daughter-in-law is missing,nobody knows what happened to her, the whole family is pretty upset about it.  The sheriff comes out to tell the family that they're suspending the search, it's been nine months and they haven't discovered any clues to her whereabouts.

Josh Brolin doesn't tell the sheriff the sinkhole.

At this point I lost interest.  What a dumb script.
