So I've been working on 4 CDs of music from a band up in the San Juans -- I mentioned them elsewhere in a Tuba Skinny thread. The Island City Jazz Band was active 1979-1985 and then seemed to disappear off the face of the earth.
I know the tuba player died when his plane crashed in 1983. They put out one more LP after that.
I have googled all of the band members and can't find any of them. I had thoughts I might offer them CDs. But hey, it was 40 years ago and they were in their 30s & 40s (maybe 50s) then so who know how many are even still alive.
I did find the singer had a page on Facebook, but I couldn't view it because I'm not a Facebook member. Mrs NoCo is though so I used her account to log into Lynda's page. It's definitely the right person, because there's a picture of her singing. There's no other information about where she lives or what she does, except she "liked" a couple businesses in Eastern Washington.
Oh, and one other like: Franklin Graham. Billy Graham's son.
So... maybe not.
