Saint Hubert (656-737 AD) is reported to have converted to Christianity when he saw a cross within the antlers of a deer he was hunting.
But this conversion was earlier attributed to Saint Eustache (? - 118 AD) and wasn't attributed to Hubert until the 15th Century.
Personally, I suspect the deer was simply rubbing the velvet off a new set of antlers and got some sticks caught up there.
