| To me, Gibson's plot sounds like a much more interesting direction that the movie franchise could have taken. I found the Alien 3 movie disappointing in the way it just seemed to throw away a whole bunch of possibilities and interesting characters. I don't particularly like Gibson's writing (I think he's a bit over-rated), but a movie based on these ideas would actually, potentially, be one that might appeal to adults. I don't know that any of the movies after the actual Alien 3 movie have been worth anything. I doubt I'll be reading the comics, though. It's just not a medium that appeals to me, in general.
