| Well, the idiots are at it again.I think the Congress should be dispersed across the nation. Apparently when you get that much stupidity in one building, you reach a critical level creating an avalance effect of dickheadedness. Now in a few more weeks, we can watch the same childish action by the Republicans as they try to extort the government over the spending level increase. It's really embarrassing to be an American sometimes. |

| It's easy to call everybody idiots and dismiss this as some sort of epic stupidity. But it's not. It was intentional, they announced they were going to do it before the 2010 elections, and now they have "reduced government down the the size where it can be drowned in the bathtub."Welcome to the New American Century.Rachel explained on her show last night that the 70 House Republicans which led this thing, over half of them were elected in 2010. They come from gerrymandered districts where Obama lost in a landslide. These "Tea Party Patriots" were sent to Congress by their districts specifically to shake things up. Sending them back home to stand for special elections wouldn't work because their districts are the most Tea Party Conservative disticts in the nation. These people have accom[plished exactly what they said they would try to do. Score another victory for Grover Norquist.

| Of course it was intentional: Intentional epic stupidity.

| What's really ironic is that all this posturing isn't going to affect the Affordable Care Act at all.
It goes into effect in January, right on schedule, and the Republicans are scared to death that people are going to love it. |

| All they will accomplish is to cause some problems for hundreds of thousands of people and cost the taxpayers a buttload of money to pay for their lunacy. Government shutdowns like this aren't free; they cost money, they don't save any.

| Uh-huh honey, that's right. Although 'Ayn Rand' Paul says it will be "just a temporary inconvenience." |

| If that's what he thinks, then he should introduce a bill that Congress will not be paid during occurrences such as these.
Here's an idea: How about if Congress gets paid for what they accomplish? At the end of each year, we can have a call-in/internet poll and let the public decide how much they get paid. |

| Did you make up the phrase "Party like it's 1995"? Because Rachel Maddow show used it tonight too. They might owe you (and Prince) some royalties. |

| I haven't watched Rachel Maddow in some time. Yes, the phrase is one I thought up. It seemed appropriate.

| This is from 2010. I wonder if the guy who wrote it is embarrassed? Probably not - he doesn't seem to be too much in touch with reality anyway. Party Like It’s 1995 |

| If they would find a way to burn Republicans as fuel, I'll pay for the launch.

That's the way he has acted since getting the job, I think it's got a lot to do with the way he runs (or doesn't run) things. |

| Yeah, interesting. - Quote :

One has only to remember that the Koch brother's father founded the John Birch Society to understand their motivation. |

| Koch was one of the original members, but Welch was the founder of the organization.
