Homeschooling? Empty
PostSubject: Homeschooling?   Homeschooling? EmptySun Sep 24, 2017 6:01 pm

Is “homeschooling” always a cover for ramming Jesus down some poor kids’ throats, or are there some valid reasons for refusing to let your kids socialize?

I admit my experience with homeschooling is negligible, so my knee jerk reaction whenever I hear the term is to go “Jesus.”

In theory, homeschooling is a way to avoid brainwashing, and Jenni may be able to speak to this. In practice, homeschooling is often a way to avoid following a sensible curriculum. Unfortunately, the only sensible evaluatlion would be on a case by case basis, which is infeasible.

“A way to avoid brainwashing” or a way to conduct the specific brainwashing a zealot parent thinks is necessary? I suspect homeschool parents tend to fear what their little offspring might be exposed to in a public school: free thinking, liberal education, homosexuality, people of other colors and religions and views of life.

Please tell me I’m wrong.
