| Republican Rep. Steve King of Iowa, one of the stupidest men in Congress, had the following to say. - Quote :
- “America has been divided,” he said, “and the center of America is disappearing, and the violence is appearing in the streets, and it’s coming from the left.” King indicated that it was impossible to separate the hyperpartisan climate in Washington — especially people protesting Trump — and Republican members of Congress being gunned down at a baseball practice.
“The divisions within the country, people that can’t accept the results of the election that are determined to try to take this country down, take this organization down,” King said. “This city was filled up with demonstrations the day after the inauguration, where you couldn’t drive down the streets.” My question is, why do they not complain about political division when a right-wing asshole guns down a bunch of people? They certainly have had plenty of opportunities. |

| Or when a prominent Republican suggested that the "second amendment guys" might deal with his political opponent.
The right can whine all they want, but the evidence is clear that the violence comes primarily from the right.
Of course, now when somebody on the left cracks and gets violent, you can expect an extreme fascist reaction (Reichstag fire, anybody?). |

| One of the yahoos, I don't recall which, declared his love for guns by saying that their guns are what saved them. It never occurs to these assholes that is the other guy wasn't allowed to have a gun, they wouldn't need theirs.
Some time ago, I heard my favorite irrational-gun-lover statement. It was from a guy who had a whole house full of guns. When explaining his need for them he said that he needed his guns to keep the government from taking his guns away. Fucking idiots. |

| You have a typo in the thread title.
It should be "Take me out at the ballgame." |

| Scalise isn't out of the woods yet. Maybe if he was on Trumpcare there wouldn't be all the back-and-forth and readmission for further treatment. He'd have met his policy limit by now, and be dumped back on the street. |
