When Goldfinger came out, the tricked-out car was supposed to be a DB5, but I read somewhere that it was really a DB4. Looking at wikipedia, it seems to be saying it was a prototype DB5. Wikipedia also says he drove a DB3 in the book - I don't remember that at all. |

I haven't heard about switching the car in Goldfinger. In the book, it was no doubt a DB4, as the DB5 hadn't yet been produced. I doubt it was a DB3. That was a racing car and there were only ten made. |

| Or, as Mrs NoCo -- ever the more PRACTICAL of the pair -- points out, "You don't really NEED a marker for the letter 'A', now do you." |

| "A" is for "Anal." Put a model of your car up there for "A". |

| If I could find a 1998 Forester I'd buy it in a New York minute. |

| Now that I've added a shelf -- 22 more feet of shelf space -- I was able to leave gaps between letters where I hadn't before. Therefore I'm thinking again of cars that begin with: The XKE seems like a good choice. Have not been able to find a Bugatti or Porsche 911 Targa for reasonable money. The damn Hudson Hornets are $95 too! |

| How about a Bentley?
Hupmobile.
Peugeot Pininfarina Plymouth Packard
Unic Ultima
XK-120 (there never was a Jag named the XKE - it was the E-Type)

| Before it was the Batmobile, it was this: the 1955 Lincoln Futura. I built the kit model of the car when I was eleven or twelve years old, several years before the Batmobile.. |

| Huh. I just looked up the stats to provide concrete evidence, and darn if the E-type is only 7 inches longer than a Manta. Seem much longer! |

| In pictures, the E-Type looks much bigger than it is. They are actually very small cars. The wheelbase on the early cars was only an inch and a half longer than the old VW beetles (but it did weigh a thousand pounds more).

| I changed my tail light the other evening. Did really well, too. I'm proud of me because I have never worked on anything built in this century. |
