| Just for fun, here are a few pics of animals hanging around my house. I don't have any pictures of the rattlesnakes or mountain lions I've seen here, but these guys may be interesting to some. A deer snacking in the yard. I interrupted his lunch. A couple of bobcats in the yard. One of them had to stop and take a leak. Bobcat getting some sun on a rock right outside my front door. (Yes, I like bobcats). Buddy Holly (really doesn't belong here). |

| This is Steve. The adopted porch cat. We didn't adopt him, he adopted us. I think his real name is James and he lives next door with the rich people from TV but he likes us better and frequently comes over and stays. Which is fine with me because if they were decent people he'd not be outside and their dogs would get walked. He's a rather cross-eyed little Siamese mix and he's kind of a nipper. He's one of only a few critters we have here. I will try to get a shot of the opossum but she's pretty cranky. I like the bobcats too. Great shots! |

| You can sprinkle airline tickets around to keep the Buddy Hollys away. |

That's "Dot" because the black and brown spots on her shoulders are almost perfectly round. She gets called "Dorothy" when she's in trouble, which is frequent because she is a wild animal. She likes to march around on the bed about 3:00am, and chase robe ties and shoelaces when you're trying to get dressed. Yuh-huh, Paris-Blue the sheltie. |

| Awww, I'm so jealous! I love a shelty. You gotta rub some bellies for me, they are just too adorable. - NoCo wrote:

That's funny. I tend to call Chloe "dammit Chloe" so often she thinks it's her name. Except when I'm really pissed then I use her first and last name and she comes running because she seems to know I mean business then. They are smarter than we will ever realize, I think. |

| Yeah, Dot looks like about as wild an animal as my wife's cat, Elinor, shown here "protecting" a heater vent. |

| We've had four shelties, they're mild mannered, trainable, loyal and not too much work. Not the brightest dogs though.
I had a little white cocker that was so goddamn much work... she couldn't walk down the sidewalk without collecting burrs. |

| Here's one of the few I have of all three at once. Bacon was involved. That's Evie the Toy Manchester in the back in the black, Chloe the Mini Dachsie in red on the left and The Princess Pixie in the white on the right. She's the Chihuahua, but a big one. |

That was one of my first dogs, a white cocker. Sweet little dogs, but yes a lot of trouble in the grooming department. |

| My first wife had a shelty back in about 1972-73. Nice little dog. I didn't keep either of them very long.
