| But I thought racism was dead in this country. I went to school in a little town that had segregated elementary schools. Even the fucking U.S. Navy was de facto segregated when I was in it. Haven't come very far since then, have we?

| No. But the reasons why are many and deep. A lot, perhaps most segregation is voluntary and African-American initiated. |
