Well no, but I thought all the secrecy surrounding this "come to jesus" meeting -- keeping reporters a block away from the hotel -- was very telling. Transparency is not a major feature of the GOP (which apparently stands for Gentlemen On Purchase).

I thought it stood for "Greedy Old Pricks."

There's no question that the current Republican Party is unabashedly owned by big money. They make no real attempt to disguise it; they just convince the low-IQ bigots among us that they are on their side. Reagan started the downward slide of the party and it has been accelerating ever since.

Anyone who is is not in the top one percent of wealth holders in this country who votes for a Republican is a complete fucking idiot. Those in the top one percent who vote for Republicans are despicable and should be eradicated.

My two least favorite things about this country: Republicans and American-style capitalism.
