| Upgraded from iOS 10.1.0 to iOS 10.1.1 last night on my portable devices. It was described as a minor upgrade with a few bug fixes.
Afterward, PhpBB does not see my login. Auto login doesn't work, and logging in manually takes me right back to the login screen. I guess I can still post from my desktop machine (lucky you!) but my iPad & phone don't work on this board anymore.
All other forums I belong to were unaffected. Something unique to PhpBB. Not sure which end of that handshake needs to be updated. |

| A quick google search shows people are having numerous problems with 1.1. Have you tried rebooting? |

| A google search last night indicated I could wipe the phone and reload 10.1.0 and restore from a backup.... but since this is the only problem I've encountered with 10.1.1 I'm inclined to wait for somebody to fix it. It's a message from god that I need to back off and chill.
The last such boo-boo was fixed in about 4 days. |

| I had a program that screwed up after an update. I deleted the program and reinstalled it. Everything was fine afterwards. |

| iOS does not support Firefox, unfortunately. |

| Really? I just downloaded and installed Firefox on my phone. It works, The problem is that iOS does not allow anything other than Safari to be the default browser. Sucks.

| I just updated a program on my wife's iPad Mini and saw that it had downloaded iOS 8.0. I did not install it, but deleted it. Later, I found that it had downloaded 10.1. I also deleted that. How is it possible that an update to a small OS is 1.3 GB? A wise young(ish) man once wrote a master's thesis about how the movement to very high level languages and inefficient programming tools would mostly obviate the benefits predicted in Moore's Law. What a prescient lad. |

| Stay away from iOS 10.1.1 whatever you do.
Makes it impossible to post to U.D. from a mobile device. Will not allow a user to log in -- just takes you back to the login screen.
All my other boards work fine, but PhpBB does not work with iOS 10.1.1. |

| Our phones and iPad can not use iOS10. Only the Mini Pad can use it, and that device still has 7.n and will not be updated unless the program my wife uses for wok requires it. So for now, there will be no more iOS updates in my house. Thank god for small favors.

| I didn't have any issues with iOS updates until 10.0.1, so anything up to then should be safe. |

| The only thing the updates did - starting with 8.0 - was to slow the devices.

| Other than a UI change (which I didn't like), the only noticeable change on my devices is that they operate slower. That is accurate.

| It makes phone calls. It sends and receives text messages. I occasionally use the browser. I have a few small programs that I use now and then. What "wonderful new features" am I missing? |

| They are charging $150 to repair iPhones affected by "Touch Disease". That seems out of line. |

- Dubbed Touch Disease by the repair vendor iFixit, the repair was relatively simple, but it required opening up the phone and soldering the two chips that cover the touch responsiveness on the iPhone. Apple Stores and Certified Apple Repair techs didn’t have the equipment for a fix, which led many users paying for more expensive logic board replacements.
It ain't easy to open up a phone, solder some chips, and close it back up securely. |

| They shouldn't charge for it at all. It appears to be a design or production flaw. A friend had this problem with a phone just a day after buying it. Apple replaced the phone for him at no charge. A few months later, the new phone had the same problem. Apple wanted, he said, about half the cost of the phone to repair it.

| The phones have a 1-year warranty. If it was within the year it should have been fixed for free. Unless: - Quote :
- Apple has determined that some iPhone 6 Plus devices may exhibit display flickering or Multi-Touch issues after being dropped multiple times on a hard surface and then incurring further stress on the device.
