Movie: Whatever Threatens You

Louis C.K. directed the first standup special by legendary '80s comic Barry Crimmins.  As you might expect from Louis it is raw, brutally honest, deals with sensitive subject matter, has a huge heart, and speaks truth about things that are almost universally not talked about anymore, or are so politicized that "truth" isn't even visible anymore.  It's eye opening.  It's revelatory. It's a breath of fresh air in a country where the air is so stale it's become toxic.

Louis charges five bucks to see it.  You won't be disappointed.  Tell everyone you know.

It's some kind of sad commentary on the state of world today, isnt it, that "truth telling" is the domain of comics now?

Or maybe "the foole" was always the only subject who could tell the king he's fat.

Crimmins reminds me a lot of George Carlin.
