Whoa! I can't tell what is going on there, but look at the shadows cast by the objects. The ones in front and the ones in the mirror cast a shadow in the same direction. Shouldn't be.

Yeah, that one puzzles me too. Look at the shadows INSIDE the cylinders -- they don't match the shape displayed.
I'm thinking either: A) Some extremely clever painting, creating sharp corners with painted-on shadows, or B) Digital trickery

Nope, none of that. It's an honest optical illusion that depends on the mirror not being vertical, and the angles of the mirror and the viewer perspective have to be just right. Explanation in German.
