By the general? I don't think so.
Donald will not wear well in the next eight months. If there is a
single Trump-Clinton debate (which I doubt he'd agree to) she'll wipe the dais with him.

No way. It would explode the GOP to deny him the nomination after today.
The only avenue, practically speaking, is a third party. At this point the Koch-led coalition of donors has about 2-3 times the money of the GOP, so they could, theoretically, submit a candidate to the national race.
But who? No candidate stands out. Paul Ryan isn't popular enough. Dennis Leary isn't serious enough. And Oprah isn't for sale, so far as I know.
