Sorry, I just had to slip out yesterday to see it in 3D at a bargain matinee.
Short review: The best entry in the franchise since the first or maybe second film. It has humor, it has a feeling of everything being dirty and well-used, it has actors who can act. The special effects have become mature and are well-integrated into the plot.
The plot is a little too similar to IV (some say identical to IV) but the reason for this is it's a rebooting of the franchise. It's been 38 years since the first movie, and there is a whole new generation of fans to introduce to the SW universe.
Luke this time is a girl, Han is black, Yoda is a fish-like critter. Han of course shows up as himself, considerably older if not wiser, and there are other surprises tying this movie to the first trilogy. C3PO, R2D2 and the Chewbacca all reappear (and surprisingly, are voiced by the same actors!)
There are quibbles: there is magic, and the space ships still make noise in space -- but it's relatively easy to overlook these failings in the service of storytelling. Some of the shots in the movie introduce a sense of scale -- REALLY BIG spaceships -- that is pretty awe-inspiring.
The movie does a good job of setting up SWVIII, with several plot points awaiting resolution.
