It's always a tragedy when bands (or a label) hire someone to write liner notes who is not fluent in the language. I just got a CD reissue that says the band's "debut for Philips' progressive subsidiary Vertigo was realised in 1971 to quiet applause" (I think they meant "released.") The music is described as "hypnotic in it's rhythm and tantalising in its mix of punctured brass and provocative vocals." That's probably "its" and "punctuated." "Their ruthless brand of handsome rhythm offers copious potent vibes, but simultaneously employs a simple narrative achieving an elementary perspective of London's rapidly changing times."
We call that "word salad."
