Sandy Bullock's new movie has her playing a political consultant, hired to win an election for an unpopular former president. To make the film less objectionable to Republicans, the film is set in Bolivia and Sandy plays the gringo brought in to sway the election in another nation.
She basically plays the same character she played in "The Blind Side," a domineering sexually repressed megalomaniac who is comfortable turning everything around her into a crisis. The plot has similarities to both Warren Beatty's "Bulworth" and Dustin Hoffman's "Wag The Dog."
On a scale of one to five, this movie scored a two. Billy Bob Thornton is good as her slimy counterpart, hired to boost the ratings of the front runner. Every time he comes on screen you experience an involuntary shudder.
