So I've been up since 2:15 am worrying about the house sale, composing an email in my head to my sister about it.
After getting up at four to write the email, I was reading my Bernie Sanders book and my eyelids got heavy, as the saying goes. Had some nice drifty music playing from my iPad to the stereo, so it was easy to fall asleep.
I'd be in a pretty deep sleep for a while (dreaming), then I'd come up a level. After a while in that state (totally unconscious) I'd slowly become aware of a noise, a growling whispering sound. Slowly I'd drift up a level and realize that noise was me, snoring. I'd shut it down.
Immediately I'd go back into the unconscious state, and then repeat the cycle.
My dad used to do that.
