I can't think of anything to say that is clever or funny.  This is a tragedy that transcends satire.

First the crane and now this. Maybe Allah is trying to tell them something.

The Hajj Stampede: Twice as Bad as the Saudis Said

Did you see any press coverage on this at all? I sure didn't. These two rather-obscure articles were all I've ever seen.

If you search, articles do show up on CNN, Fox News etc. But it appears to be a very minor "middle of the newspaper" item for, well, all of them. By contrast, a school shooting that kills hardly anybody and is simply a result of this country being saturated with guns, is big news and brings out hundreds of protesters demanding, erm, more guns. You'd think that the media here would be pushing the line that if all these pilgrims had converted to christianinsanity, most of them would still be alive and only a minority would have been sexually assaulted as children.

Ha! It's an embarrassment for the Saudis, it's an embarrassment for Islam, it's an embarrassment for Allah.

Makes ya wonder -- do the Saudis have enough monetary control over US media to bury the story?
