| Yeah I love his malaprops. I read once most of them were well rehearsed, worked out in advance, not just spur-of-the-moment misspeakings. Surely they made him more famous than baseball. |

| Yogi was very famous in the fifties, long before he was known for odd sayings. "Deja vu all over again" is one I have used often. The man was a great catcher and a real hoot when he was broadcasting
Sad to see him go. Yesterday was also my mother's birthday. She would have been 98.

| My mother would have been 91 on Monday. The best malaprop I ever experienced in person was my late ex-wife, she wanted to go looking for a reclining easy chair but couldn't remember the brand name. She said, "Let's go look for Easy-Lay Recliners." She eventually bought one for my birthday, and I still use it every day. My "easy-lay." |
