Picked up three remainders yesterday that look promising:
David Foster Wallace - Consider The Lobster. A series of comic essays. One of the reviews on the back cover says, "Watching Wallace play his outrage meter is a little like watching John McEnroe complain about a line call."
Po Bronson & Ashley Merryman - Nurture Shock: New Thinking about Children. Back cover: "the authors demonstrate that many of modern society's strategies for nurturing children are in fact backfiring -- because key twists in the science have been overlooked." One of the chapters is called "Why White Parents Don't Talk About Race."
Malcolm Gladwell - What The Dog Saw. Did I read this already? I know it was on my buy list forever. It doesn't look familiar.
