| Watched an episode of Louis C.K.'s series "Louie" this afternoon, which was titled "God." In it, a 7-year old Louie isn't taking the nun seriously when she describes the crucifixion. In response the nun brings in a forensic pathologist, who proceeds to describe the injuries suffered by "Our Lord" in excruciating medical detail. As a result Louie has recurring nightmares. For dinner, the Mrs wanted a teriyaki chicken. The local teriyaki place is run by a bunch of Christians -- a lot of them are -- but they don't make a big deal about it. They leave some discreet pamphlets on a side table. May I quote from it? - Quote :
- Death comes suddenly and unexpectedly! Did you know that your spirit and soul are eternal and live forever after your physical death? You MUST be prepared for the life after! Time is running out fast! If you aren't Biblically saved at this moment, you are a heartbeat away from Hell! Eternal and unavoidable punishment in the Lake of Fire is waiting for you with no hope of ever getting out! You must prepare for your death today! Tomorrow may be too late! Hell is an everlasting burning place where there will be weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth; a place of regret where the smoke of those tormented goes up forever and they find no rest, day or night!
