At home I routinely achieve internet speeds of 50-60 Mbps, sometimes peaking (during non-peak usage hours -- Comcast being shared bandwidth) at 125 Mbps.
I just tested the connection up here: 0.33 Mbps. 330 Kbps. Yikes. I could mail the bits faster.

Quit bragging. I'm currently setting at 152.6 Kbps. Nothing unusual here.

Yeah. I'm getting ready to drag the drums out of the garage.

If 152 Kbps is Neanderthal, what is 49.1? Homo habilis?

The earliest known history written by man is cave art that dates to around 40,000 years ago, making it a product of Homo sapiens or Homo neanderthalis, so yes, Homo habilus would be properly prehistoric.
