| Yeah normally I couldn't give two shits about professional sports but it's kinda hard to avoid these days in Seattle. It's our second Superbowl purchased by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen.
So having watched the playoff games two weeks ago, I think New England is a very similar team, with a lot more experience. Both teams are defensive monsters, so I'm predicting a low-scoring game.
I say we go into the half 7-10 New England, and the game ends up 21-22 New England. |

| New England has a football team? When the first Superbowl was played, I was out of the country and missed it. I have managed to continue the trend and have missed all 48 of them. |

| The only one I've ever sat and watched all the way through just for fun was the Miami-49ers, back in the 80s. I watched one or two others when I had a financial interest, but most years I don't bother. |

| 14-all at the half, currently 24-14 Seattle. My dogs are sleeping through the whole thing. TV looks good though.
Did I tell you Desi watched Pitbulls and Parolees with me Wednesday? |

| The REAL story behind the outcome. - Quote :
- More people bet on the Super Bowl than any event in American sports. The total amount of money on the line worldwide is counted not in millions, but billions.
In Las Vegas, last year's game produced a record $119 million, smashing the previous high of $98.9 million set just one year prior. That total produced an estimated $19.7 million in profits for the sportsbooks, also a record. And that number could have reached even higher if not for a few fluke events.
Betters often wager on the first score of the game. Everything from a touchdown to a field goal is offered. In 2014, casinos gave favorable odds for a safety. Additionally, some even offered to bet that the first play of the game would be a safety at +4000 odds. When the first snap from scrimmage soared over Peyton Manning's head and into the end zone, sportsbooks were forced to pay out incredible sums, hurting their bottom line. |
