Something I never considered before.

Apple champions the use of "I" for Internet, in their iPhone, iPad, iTunes, I watch, etc.

As a fan of Fellini's movies I never made the connection before, but in Italian the "i" means "the" as in "I Vitelloni" and "I Clowns."  So in Italy, Apple's naming scheme raises their products from generic to category-defining.  Rather clever marketing.

Clever, yes, but probably unintentional. If I remember correctly, Jobs wanted to name the iMac the MacMan. Or something like that.
